Here’s a breakdown of what your Business Model Canvas should essentially include:
Customer Segments
Which group of people or companies do you want to target and sell your product/service to? Split your customers into segments (depending on criteria) and create customer personas.
Customer Relationships
Which type of relationship will you have with each of your customer segments? How will you interact with them throughout their journey?
Examples: Personal assistance, Self Service, Communities, Co-creation…
Distribution Channels
How and where will you connect with your consumer?
How will you earn revenue from your value propositions?
What Key Activities do your Value Propositions require?
Which key resources do you need to carry out your key activities in order to create your value proposition?
Which external companies or suppliers will help you carry out your key activities? What types of partnerships will you establish?
What are the costs associated with operating your business model?
This is where you’ll include your unique solution for a problem. It should show your solution is different from that of your competitors.
